Sessions

This online stress management programme seeks to help you reduce your stress levels over three short sessions. The first two sessions must be completed in the first week of the programme, and the third session will be completed in the second week
 
Each Session is broken down into a number of individual Lessons, which will be delivered in the form of videos and mindfulness exercises. After each Lesson, you will be asked one or two questions about the topics discussed, in order to ensure you understand the material that is being covered.
 
At the end of each Session, you will also be asked to complete a brief Feedback Form, in which you can tell us what your thoughts are on the programme.
 
The first Session has three separate Lessons
 
  • Lesson 1 will discuss why trying to control our thoughts and emotions may not be an effective way of managing stress
  • Lesson 2 will offer the acceptance and acknowledgement of negative thoughts and emotions as an alternative strategy for stress management
  • And Lesson 3 will ask you to practice mindfulness exercises a few times a week to increase awareness of your own thoughts and emotions.
 
The second Session has 4 Lessons
 
  • Lesson 1 will demonstrate how language habits that can lead us into struggles with our thoughts and emotions
  • Lesson 2 asks you to observe your thoughts, emotions and bodily sensations, and practice awareness
  • Lessson 3 involves challenging negative thoughts and emotions, by breaking them down into manageable size
  • And Lesson 4 asks you to list your values in your everyday and work life.
 
Session 3 has 2 Lessons
 
  • The first lesson is a wrap up video which explains how to proceed once the programme has been completed.
  • The final lesson will ask you to list and categorise the barriers you face when trying to live life in accordance with your personal and professional values.
